Ny opener Southern Tier style

Well we hit the field Sept 1 with the crew and what a day we had !!!!!!! We had randy’s grand son in the field with us for his first goose hunt this yr. At 6:30 am the first flock arrived and randy’s grandson got his first goose and a band to boot. after the feathers stopped falling from the sky at 9 am we had a total of 42 geese and 6 bands. My stepson taft also got his first band. This is one of the best Sept openers for us can’t wait for the rest of the season

dog challange with the D3 crew

Was in Batavia with some of the D3 Pit crew (Rich Ferguson,Rod Cockerl ,and Tom Flathery) had a great mourning with the crew. Rods dog took first in stage 1 and Rich’s dog got second in stage 2 with my dog getting third.saw alot of freinds and made some new ones . Nothing like doing what we love to do. Rich and Tom took some great pics and i’ll try and get them to post some up

Great day today

Met with Tim and Rich and went over the 2010 thank you vets hunt that we are having on Nov 11 (veterans day). This is always a special hunt for me as these men and women that we take out risk their lives every day for us to be able to waterfowl hunt. My hats off to all them and this is a small tooken of thanks to them for what they do. Everyone let me introduce myself, My name is Craig Southard and i reside in Olean,NY with my wife and three kids.I have been waterfowl hunting 25 yrs, and thats all that flows in my veins.I have two labs Decoy my black female and Gunners a choclab from decoys litter. if i’m not getting the decoys and gear ready i’m training the dogs. In the off seasons i run several calling contest on the east coast as well as do goose and duck hunting seminars at variuos Gander Mountains and sport shows. Four yrs ago i started Southern Tier Outfitters a goose and duck hunting guide service in NY. This guide service was a dream of mine as i love to introduce people to waterfowll hunting and watch their eyes light up as some big old honkers are 10 yrds away with their feet down.

I’m on Dakota Decoys xtreme team ,Drake Field staff, both in my opinion the best companies out in the industry
I’m looking forward to representing D3 and helping them show the world more about waterfowling and why it gets my blood pumping
